Annie Jane Smith

Role:Pharmacist
Qualifications:B. Pharm MPS

I'm a local Inverell girl, attending Holy Trinity until year 10, before heading to Inverell High to complete my senior years.

I was keen to follow in Brendon's footsteps and become a pharmacist from the age of 14, after he so kindly dressed some bad wounds for me that I sustained from a bike accident in 2008.  When I was in year 10, I got my first taste of pharmacy, undertaking work experience at Campbell and Freebairn Chemist.

After completing high school, I came back to the pharmacy for my gap year and worked full time in the dispensary.

I completed my Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours in 2017 at the University of Newcastle. During uni holidays I would come back to Inverell and work at Campbell and Freebairn which I always looked forward to.

Once completing my degree I decided to spread my wings and move to Queensland to complete my internship year in Noosa. I worked at the Sunshine Coast for 2.5 years until my love for Inverell got the better of me and moved home in July 2020. I am so pleased to be back at Campbell and Freebairn and feel so privileged to be able to serve my local community.

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, playing indoor netball and dancing.
