Which sunscreen is safe for little people?

January 5th 2018

For babies & children 6 months and up: generously apply Hamilton Toddler SPF 50+ 20 minutes before sun exposure

For infants 6 months and younger: no sunscreen provides 100% protection so babies should be well protected from the sun by clothing hats and shades. You only need to use Hamilton Toddler SPF 50+ on the small areas of the baby’s skin that is exposed to the sun eg under the chin, on the legs, feet and forearms. Sunscreen should NOT be used to extend the time your baby is exposed to the sun.

We also have a new product from Neutrogena: Sheer Zinc Baby Dry-Touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50. Excellent for sensitive skin. It is hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested, fragrance and dye free, oil free, no added parabens, 2 hour water resistant, tear free and wont sting babies eyes.

Our advice: make your To Do List : check the expiry on all your sunscreens at home, in the car, in the camping gear, on the boat and in overnight bags!
